Wild Game Dishes Enjoyed By Gourmet Group
Everyone who brought a dish shared their recipe and described the ingredients to the group. In the first picture, Hank McRoberts is informing the 23 participants about his venision dish. The next picture shows a lively audience and above Laura Lucas is describing her white fish puffs.
The Gourmet Group enjoyed dishes with buffalo, venison, goose and white fish. After dessert, the men seemed in serious discussion.
Our Village Artisans' President Missy Smith and her husband Gordon also enjoyed the evening with great food and friends!

Quilt Winner
CONGRATULATIONS Sharyn Rasinske from Waukesha, WI. Sharyn is the lucky winner of the quilt this year. She said she had looked at her clock at 11am WI time which was 12 MI time and thought her name hadn't been picked. The call had been made but no answer so a follow up call was made later in the day to give her the good news. Needless to say she was very excited and I enjoyed my conversation with her. She said to tell everyone "Thank-you and that she loves us".
Thank-you to all who bought tickets for the quilt and supporting the art programs for kids. A fun note.....a call came into the Gallery from Alabama to see if she was the winner.
We are already working on the quilt for 2010!

Hiking Club To Not Meet Until The Snow Flies, Then SnowShoeing!
The hiking club met at the old dump road and hiked the plains for Wednesday October 7. We had a delightful hike the week before that at the Spaldings and were able to view his taxidermy after the hike. The trails were great with hugh white pines. On October 7, the group decided to not meet until it begins to snow, so we can snow shoe. Everyone's calendar is filled for the next several months! If you are interested in joining the group to snow shoe when the snow accumulates, call Laura Lucas, Shirley LaValle, or Janet Daasch.
