VILLAGE ARTISANS BULLETIN BOARD

Ruth Craig, Announces a Bonus Garden Gourmet Evening on Tuesday September 14

Many of you responded with a desire to get together before Oct. so as not to interfere with the "Jam Sessions" I found a date that might work. On Tuesday September 14, 5-7pm at the Congregational Church, we will have a cookout, outdoors weather permitting.
After talking with some of you, it seems best to cancel the next two sessions of Garden Gourmets because of all the activities going on at the same time. Many of you would like to attend the Jam Sessions at the Golf Club in August and September as these will be the last of those wonderful events.
Keep on discovering great recipes and enjoy all the wonderful local produce from your gardens (and, lucky for those of us without gardens, from the Farmers' Market!). Belinda Collins will be offering instructions on growing garlic this fall, which some of you might be interested in. See you at the future Gourmets --and I hope at the Square Dancing which will be held at the Community Center on Thursdays that month with John Bagley as our caller.  More info to follow......See you around town and at the Farmers' Market.....

Brown Bag

The August 10th noon brown bag with Larry Daasch on  the history of Rock n' Roll was enjoyed by approx. 20 individuals.

Larry Daasch presented a rockin’ introduction to the origins of rock & roll music.

We learned about and listened to some of the great rhythm & blues and country records  that led to the emergence of rock & roll in the mid-50s.
